Rail enthusiasts of the modelling kind are well ahead with arrangements for their annual model railway exhibition next Saturday August 9.
The Bexhill Model Railway Club was founded over 35 years ago and is based at The Mews Business Park in Clifford Road where regular meetings are held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, although work on the Club’s layouts can take place at any time.
Members will be showing the Club’s “Sewel” , an ‘O-16.5’gauge brewery works sidings layout, together with many invitation layouts in ‘N’, ‘HO’, ‘OO’, ‘O’ and other gauges at next weekend’s show.
This is being held for the last time at St Peter’s Community Centre, Old Town, from 10-5pm – all are welcome and admission charges are - adults £4, concessions £3.50, children £1.50 and family £9.50.
Club spokesman Mike Canning said: “Other features apart from the layouts will be trade stands, a club second hand stall and a good selection of light refreshments throughout the day.”
