£1m business boost helps Bexhill print company to expand
A BEXHILL company’s expansion plans are among nine projects set to benefit from a £1 million funding boost from East Sussex County Council.
Subject to contracts being signed, Bea-utiful Design and Print in St Leonards Road will be getting new printing equipment to enlarge its business.
Grants and loans are being used to set up new businesses or grow existing ones in mainly rural areas, creating new jobs and supporting training.
Cllr Matthew Lock, lead member for economy, said: “It’s all part of our £6 million economic intervention fund designed to help business and boost our local economy.
“More Rural Growth and Employment Fund money will be made available next month and other grants for businesses are also available, so I would urge firms to get in touch.”
Details are available online at : www.eastsussex.gov.uk/business or by telephoning 01273 482205.
Michael Tyrell, who set up Bea-utiful in August 2011, said: “We plan to bring outsourced large format printing in-house, move to new premises near Hailsham andwill probably be creating new jobs in the process.”
