Boost for youngsters
Youngsters with a tougher start in life are getting a boost from council tax payers.
KANGAROOS, a charity that runs out of school activities for children with severe learning disabilities, has received 500 from North Mid Sussex County Local Committee for a gardening project.
The Committee's last public meeting also decided to grant British Red Cross East Grinstead and 1st East Grinstead Brownies 400 each to go towards buying a laptop and projector.
The cash comes from the Committee's Community Initiative Funding, which is money it receives from West Sussex County Council to help local projects that enrich the community.
