Call for slower traffic in Ashford Road
CALLS have been made to introduce traffic calming measures and an improved crossing in a busy town centre road.
Residents have launched a petition calling for safety improvements to combat speeding traffic in Ashford Road.
Campaigners say there have been a series of crashes in the road which runs behind the Arndale Centre and it has now developed into a life threatening situation.
Concerned residents joined forces with Devonshire ward councillors and the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate Stephen Lloyd.
