Campaigners call for village turnout at weekend meeting

CAMPAIGNERS fighting a housing plan at Cuckfield are calling on villagers to come out in force on Saturday at a public meeting to support them.

The session will be held at 10am (March 13) at Queen's Hall, Cuckfield.

Chatfield Road Action Group in Cuckfield has fought a year- long battle to stop developers building on a corner of land off Chatfield Road.

But a new application has just been put in after a planning inspector left the door open for Bellway Homes to revise its application.

Now CRAG is joining forces with North Cuckfield Action Group - which is fighting new housing off their road - to hold the public meeting.

CRAG chairman John Dickie said: "We want the whole village to join together to fight inappropriate development in our village."
