Cars, stalls, fun, music for BCCA’s Sussex Day
Plans are being made to make sure this year’s Sussex Day in Bexhill is a vibrant event.
Bexhill Classic Car Association will celebrate the event on Sunday June 16 in Egerton Park from 10-5pm with a display of stylish motors plus stalls from local organisations, businesses and charities. These include Sussex Police, Neighbourhood Watch and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, craft groups such as knitters and quilters, plus shops such as Maud’s and Toys Plus. The day will also have entertainment with live music oranised by Andy Rimmer of No 48 cafe, and dance displays. Organiser Keith Robinson says the list of those taking part continues “to grow by the day” but anyone involved with a charity group is invited to contact him on 01424 846205 for a free pitch. Classic cars will be on show and a cup awarded at the end of the day sponsored by Priceless in Devonshire Road. Keith is appealing to local traders to get involved in the day and commented: “Sussex Day is about promoting our area, you are the only ones who can do it, so please support us to support you.”
