Crash survivor on wheelchair push

A survivor of a car crash is pushing his wheelchair all the way from Eastbourne to Hastings to raise funds for the air ambulance which helped to save him.

Bill Brien was left severly disabled by the 2007 crash but is still determined to say thank you to the people who helped rescue him.

On Saturday (March 13), Mr Brien will tackle the 22-mile journey in aid of Sussex Air Ambulance.

His push starts at 10am outside Eastbourne Town Hall and ends outside the London Trader Pub on Hastings seafront.

He will be joined by a support team, including local councillor Richard Vallery-Peters who is also secretary of the Veterans' Association.

If you would like to sponsor Mr Brien, phone Bridget Pepper on 0780 0649246.
