Double killer's sentence is delayed
A psychiatric patient who admits killing two women in 1998 has had his sentencing delayed.
Graham Fisher, 35, of the Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire, confessed to the manslaughter of Clare Letchford, 40, and Beryl O'Connor, 75, who were found dead in their flats.
Both had been strangled and their bodies were set on fire, and last month Fisher pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
He has also admitted to the attempted murder and attempted rape of a Czech student, then 19, on a Hastings to London Charing Cross train.
Fisher was due at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday but the hearing was adjourned for a date yet to be fixed.
In total the judge will consider six offences, including two counts of rape against a woman in her 40s in Bromley, Kent, in 1991.
