Drunk man refused order to leave town

A LONDONER who refused a police order to get out of town found himself in court last week.

Samir Aharchi, 18, from south-east London, was involved in a row at a Sea Road take-away on December 3 after having been thrown out of three bars.

Salesman Aharchi pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer, failing to comply with the direction of a police officer and and being in possession of cannabis resin when he appeared at Hastings Magistrates Court last week.

Jeremy King, prosecuting, said: “He was causing problems at the Royal Sovereign but things had calmed down when police arrived and spoke to him.

“Later at 1.20pm he was ejected from MJ’z bar as he was causing problems.

“He appeared to be drunk and agitated and police told him to leave Bexhill.

“Twenty-five minutes later police were called to the Fusion Night Club by staff.

“They found the defendant in a chicken take-away shop being aggressive to staff.

“He told them that he had a small amount of cannabis in his possession.

“He was arrested but refused to get into the police car. He continued to struggle with police, shouting and swearing at them.”

Aharchi told the court: “I was really drunk and could not get back to the friend’s house in Bexhill where I was staying.”

Magistrates fined him a total of £591.
