Fairtrade theme tomorrow

THE Second Saturday Stands series of markets at St Barnabas’ Church , Bexhill, will take place tomorrow.

To coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight, this arts, crafts and gifts fair will include a stand of Traidcraft products – from hand-crafted baskets made in Bangladesh to Fairtrade food and drink, including a range of chocolate to taste and the new ‘real’ Easter eggs.

Traidcraft’s “Fighting Poverty Through Trade’ sourcing of handcrafted items from around the world will bring extra variety to the many different arts and crafts that will be on sale. With Mothers Day the very next day the Fair offers a chance to buy once and give twice.

The majestic venue of St. Barnabas Church is in Sea Road, halfway between the station and the sea. Entrance is free, and the Fair will run from 10am until 3pm. Fairtrade refreshments and light lunches will be available throughout the day. There is full disabled access and toilet facilities, and car parking. For further information please call 01424-216629 (March fair only) or e-mail the organisers, Cantelupe Community Association: cantelupe at mail.org
