Gallery: Thousands turn up to Hellingly's Festival of Transport

MORE than 1,500 exhibits were on display at Hellingly's Festival of Transport over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The 34th festival, organised by the Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club and one of the largest of its kind in the south east, welcomed its first international guests this year – a Dutch contingent joined the British fleet of military vehicles on the 28-acre site at Broad Farm.

Organiser Dave Bone said, "The Festival draws crowds of around 20,000 over the three days. After some 30 years of celebrating our transport heritage we're delighted the show continues to go from strength to strength."
