Identity crisis - Beulah Baptist church probe

A THOUGHT-PROVOKING mystery musical examining the disappearance of Jesus will be held over three nights at Beulah Baptist church.

The unusual production will take a fresh look at the old story by examining first-hand witnesses from critical moments such as the guard accused of losing the dead body, He will be played over three nights by the Rev Dan Docherty who admitted: “It’s all very embarrassing.” This is a musical with a message called ‘The Trial’, which asks a jury for a decision as the identity of Jesus is explored from a new angle. The audience is invited into different incidents and events that give some clues - but everyone must make up their own mind.

The action moves from a modern courtroom scene to the historical events. March and laugh at the antics of the superior wine waiter and listen to one of those in the 5,000 who were fed.

The production includes plenty of new songs, dance and a cast of more than 40 actors, musicians, singers and dancers. Everyone is invited to come along to see this show tonight or tomorrow night at Beaulah Baptist church. Tickets are available on the door priced at £3 each. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start - call Dave or Maggie Ranson for more information on 01424 532849.
