Let Honk! entertain you at Bexhill High

Response to Bexhill High’s production of Honk! has delighted director Adam Hepkin.

The show is based on one of the world’s favourite fairy-tales, Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling, is ready for its audience from Tuesday to Friday this week.

Adam believes since ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, Bexhill High’s standard of productions has gone from strength to strength. The students involved are now part of a 70-strong theatre company and have performed shows such as Macbeth, Godspell, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Sweeney Todd, all to critical acclaim, as well as professional productions of ‘Joseph’ and ‘Elegies’ at the White Rock Theatre.

He commented; “Honk! is the newest instalment in this series of productions and has proved incredibly popular, with the Friday performance selling out at the beginning of January, the Thursday selling out a couple of weeks ago and Tuesday’s tickets are also sold out. We have less than 10 tickets available for the Wednesday 6th performance. I am both thrilled and overwhelmed by the support shown from the community for the productions, but especially for Honk! The students involved have worked extremely hard over the past few months to ensure a high standard of performance, with some staying at rehearsal until 7pm. The commitment and dedication of those involved is second to none and they are incredibly excited to be playing to full houses all week. As a director, it is a pleasure to work with these young people and the support of the wider community means a lot to both myself and the students.” The few tickets remaining are available on 01424 735475, £4 for children and oaps,£6 for adults. 7.30pm at The Venue (formerly Bexhill High Theatre)
