Lindfield cricket club stalwart dies

LINDFIELD is mourning the lost of Mark Lawrence, popular chairman of the village cricket club, who has died sudden.

Mark, 48, of Black Hill, collapsed at his home following a sudden brain haemorrhage.

He was a former Oxford Blue and longtime Lindfield Cricket Club first team player as well as its most recent chairman.

He was also a strong supporter of the club's youth academy and of the current on-going plans to try and improve facilities for the youngsters and senior players on the village common.

His funeral will be at All Saints', Church, Lindfield, next Friday (September 3).
