Lindfield High Street trees till come down
Lindfield Parish Council has voted by 7-3 to support West Sussex County Council's proposal to remove the village's overgrown lime trees in the High Street.
The 36 trees, which have not been pollarded for almost 20 years because of county and district council cash restraints, will be replaced by 26 saplings with pollarding beginning again after five to 10 years.
Another matter causing anxiety to Lindfield residents is the proposal to build 120 homes in the field behind Newton Road which will be the subject of an Extraordinary Meeting called by the parish council at the King Edward Hall next Wednesday (November 28) at 8pm.
