New-look loos for listed building

INTERNAL lavatories at the Manor Barn in Old Town, Bexhill, are being refurbished, with new partitioning, new sanitary fittings and associated drainage.

Formal consent for the work, which will have minimal impact on the historic fabric of the listed building, was granted by Rother District Council’s planning committee yesterday. (Thursday)

The work includes construction of a new cupboard in the lobby, but this remains within the area occupied by the existing facilities.

The layout will be altered using timber studwork.
