New standard is pride of Burgess Hill
Members of Burgess Hill Royal British Legion have a new standard to parade.
The standards of the Legion are a familiar sight and are used at events such as the annual Remembrance Day parade in November, when they are dipped and raised in tribute to those who have fallen in conflict.
The dedication of a new standard for the Women's Section of the Burgess Hill Royal British Legion was attended by VIPs.
The service of dedication for the standard has been held at St Johns Church, Burgess Hill.
The old standard is about 15 years old. The new one, which cost about 600, has a special treatment to help prevent its colours running in wet weather.
