Police look into two Bexhill car thefts

A CAR was stolen from De La Warr Road in Bexhill between Friday night (November 2) and saturday morning (November 3).

The red Vauxhall Corsa (registration L597 WLF) was taken between 7.30pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday from the Manor Barn car park.

On the same night a man, described as white, 19-years-old and wearing a dark grey hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms was disturbed whilst trying to steal a moped at just before 1am from the High Street in the Old Town of Bexhill.

Police are appealing for witnesses and for anybody who has any information to come forward and help with their enquiries.

Sergeant Dan Russell, of Bexhill Police, said: “These two incidents may not be connected but we’d like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in or near De La Warr Road.

“Please continue to remain vigilant, as the High Street resident did, and report suspicious behaviour to police on 101 quoting serial 0578 of 3/11.”
