Police probe oil spillage incident

A BLUE Transit-type van carrying two tanks of home heating oil was abandoned in Peartree Lane between Lunsford’s Cross and Whydown Lane, Bexhill, at 5am on Wednesday this week.

Oil had overflowed onto the road and firefighters and Environment Agency staff were called to clear it. The road was closed for around three hours. Police are investigating.
