Police recover stolen items from address in Bexhill

ITEMS believed to have been stolen in several burglaries throughout the area were recovered from an address in Bexhill after a search was carried out by police in Dorset Road on Wednesday, February 13.

Two 20-year-old, local men, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Both have been interviewed and bailed until March 13 while further enquiries take place.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins, of Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Burglary, whether committed in someone’s home or place of business, can be devastating and we do all we can to help prevent and deter this crime.

“But I’d like to make the point that when it does happen we do our utmost to investigate thoroughly.

“These arrests were thanks to local information, not just from police officers and PCSOs out on the beat, but from members of the public.

“I’d like to thank all those who call us about suspicious activity and remind everyone that if you see something suspicious do not hesitate to contact police on 101 or, if urgent, on 999.”
