St Peter's Youth Fellowship

MEMBERS of St Peter's Youth Fellowship received the blessing of the Rector in front of the parish mini-bus before setting out on a venture.

Six members led by the Rev Olivia Werrett and helpers Cathy Gillman and Kim Truscott set off last Friday morning to take part in Greenbelt, the Christian rock and arts festival on Cheltenham Racecourse.

The Rector, the Rev Canon Dr Edward Bryant blessed the trip as the party prepared for their journey.

Fellowship members had been eagerly scanning the Observer to read details of their GCSE successes as the mini-bus was prepared.

The Rev Werett told the party before they left: "There is so much to do and see. You will come back changed people."

Fellowship members had raised money for their food and paid for their trip, which was also aided by generous donations.

Members spent the weekend under canvas at Greenbelt in company with thousands of other young Christians taking part in Greenbelt, returning on Monday evening.
