Staplecross Post Office up for sale

Staplecross Post Office and Stores is up for sale.

The village branch, which has been under it's current ownership since 2000, is being sold as a post office and store, with four-bedroom accommodation.

It is described by business agents Christie + Co as a 'two-storey older style property, with a cellar, traditional shop front and significant extensions to include two attic rooms.'

The store sells a range of products, and has an off licence, coffee machine and undertakes four morning news-rounds.

The post office includes a one-position counter, two stock rooms and staff facilities.

There is also a double garage.

David Garrard, from business agents Christie + Co's Maidstone office, who is handling the sale, said: "Staplecross Post Office and Stores has been established for many years and has been in the hands of our clients since 2000, but they are now looking to move back home to Scotland.

"The business is run as a post office and general store serving the needs of the local village, as well as the outlying villages of Staplecross and custom is also drawn from passing trade.

"This is a unique opportunity to acquire a lifestyle business, with charming four-bedroom accommodation in a picturesque village location."

Christie + Co is seeking 445,000 for the freehold interest of Staplecross Post Office and Stores.
