BEXHILL College student Sophie Doick has been accepted onto the Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU) Shadowing Scheme for 2013.

She is currently studying biology, chemistry, English literature and geography and was one of some 300 chosen from more than 2,000 applications.

Sophie first heard of the scheme via her UCAS application and completed her application by giving details of what she is hoping to study following her A-Levels and what her interests are. She said: “I would strongly recommend other students to apply to the scheme. It will give me great hands-on experience and will hopefully help me with a place at Cambridge University when I finish my A-Levels at Bexhill College. I’m currently looking to follow a career in either law or dentistry and I’m sure this opportunity will be incredibly beneficial to me.”

The Shadowing Scheme brings sixth-formers to Cambridge for three days. Sophie will stay in halls of residence and attend lectures, classes, social activities and have full use of its facilities.
