Supporting stroke victims
WIND and rain did not stop those taking part in the first ever sponsored seafront walk to raise funds for StrokeSupport UK.
The walk started at Hastings Pier and ended six miles later at the Sovereign Light Cafe although some chose to join the event at Galley Hill for the final stretch.
At the finish they were presented with a hot drink, commemorative medal and completion certificate.
Paul Frost S troke Support UK regional co-ordinator, would like to say “a huge thank you for both Hastings Direct and Amicus Horizon ASB Team for allowing their staff to take part and help raise funds to help strokesupport-uk continue to run their meeting group for 2013.” He added: “We would also like to thank the Sovereign Light Café that we descended on and used as our finish line, and all our family and friends who also made an effort to battle the weather and help make the day feel full of fun.”
