Witnesses sought after collision

TWO weeks after a youth on foot was seriously injured in Cooden Drive by a vehicle which failed to stop, an appeal for witnesses has been made by police.

The incident happened at around 5am on Thursday, November 15, as the 18-year-old male was walking along the south side of the B2182 Cooden Drive. The vehicle did not stop and was not seen by the casualty, but it was believed to be travelling in the direction of the Cooden Beach Hotel.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating how this collision happened and would appeal for anyone with information regarding the driver of the vehicle or anyone who witnessed the collision to contact us.”

They should telephone 101, quoting serial 0258 of 15/11, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
