Concrete dropped on a car in Bexhill

TWO cars were hit by lumps of concrete thrown from a footbridge over the A259 King Offa’s Way, Bexhill.

The incidents happened at around 12.30am on Wednesday (February 27).

Police are appealing for witnesses and believe the lumps were from a broken bird bath. Luckily no one was injured.

A Renault Megane, being driven by a 27-year-old woman from Bexhill, sustained damage to the bonnet, windscreen and front bumper.

And a Fiat Punto, being driven by a 48-year-old Hastings man accompanied by three passengers, sustained damage to the windscreen and roof.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101.
