Young BLODS get ready to dazzle

MEMBERS of Young BLODS, the Bexhill Local Operatic and Dramatic Society, are hard at work learning lines and lyrics for their spring production, Dazzle.
The show is billed as a brilliantly funny parody of the television sci-fi series, Star Trek, complete with the starship Sunburster One.
The spacecraft is under the control of Captain Sam Galactic, ordered by the president of Homeworld to transport his daughter, Dazzle Star, to her finishing school.
Trouble ensues when Dazzle is kidnapped by Slimebag the Haemorrhage, an Irish astral pirate, and the ensuing drama includes a space warp back to 1960 for an encounter with Sue Zuki and the Greasers.
Described by choreographer Martyn White as having “a super-sizzling cosmic score with lunar-tic lyrics and stellar one-liners”, Dazzle is expected to be hilarious fun for youngsters and adults alike when it is performed this spring at Bexhill High School.
Tickets are already on sale for 7.30pm shows on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14, plus a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.
These can be bought at rehearsals - Mondays and Wednesdays, 5.30pm - 7.30pm atvthe Friends Meeting Place Hall, Albert Road.
