An application has been submitted to Rother District Council to keep a number of beach huts on Bexhill’s seafront.

The shareholders of South Cliff Chalets (Bexhill Centre & East) submitted the application recently asking to renew time-limited planning permission to retain four existing beach huts in South Cliff, Richmond Avenue.

A similar scheme by the same applicants was submitted in 2011 to the authority where permission was given by Rother District Council for five years.

The application, submitted last week, will come before the authority’s planning committee and be discussed at a later date.
