Three charities in Bexhill are among 1,000 around the UK to benefit from Yorkshire Building Society members’ small change.

The Society’s Charitable Foundation has donated a total of £100,000 to charities and good causes nominated by people during its Small Change Big Difference campaign.

Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary, Bexhill Caring Community and St Michael’s Hospice were among those to be given a £100 donation after being nominated at Yorkshire Building Society’s local agency in Bexhill

The Charitable Foundation is funded through the Small Change Big Difference scheme where members donate the pennies from the annual interest on their accounts to help charities and good causes.

Anita Morley said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came in to nominate a charity for a donation during our Small Change Big Difference campaign.

“At Yorkshire Building Society we are committed to our community and I hope these donations will enable the charities to carry on their wonderful work here in Bexhill.”
