The Cardiology Conquerors are counting down the days to their “extremely gruelling” fundraiser.

They have just a week to go before they walk from London to Brighton hoping to cover 100 km in under 30 hours - all to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Shelley Stenton is a radiographer at the Conquest who works in the Cardiac Catheter Lab and is one of the team which will take part on June 21/22.

She said: “Our group consists of a Consultant Cardiologist, Cardiac Technicians and Nurses and Radiographer. We have a Virgin Money Giving web page if people would like to make a donation. We also have a Facebook page under the name of ‘Cardiology Conquerors’. with pictures of people in the group.”

The BHF has bought equipment over the years for the department, so as a team they would like to raise money for the BHF as “a token of our appreciation.” This challenge is an “extremely gruelling” non-stop hike which will last approximately 26 hours.
