There was an appreciative audience when St Barnabas Church in Bexhill hosted an Evening of Music and Song last week.

The church was delighted to welcome talented pianist George Harby from Dover and enjoyed a performance by its own Holly Stevenson on the flute.

Frances and Keith Baldwin played two duets on flute and piano and viola player Ted Lee

Ann Carter, a member of the St Lawrence Catsfield Choir, and her assistants Ray and Christine provided delicious snacks and drinks during the interval.

Compere Mike Cooper, also based at St Lawrence Church, regaled the audience with poems and Lord Nelson skits and effortlessly linked each performance together.

Bob Andrew, organist and pianist from St Lawrence Church, accompanied their choir in an evening to remember.

Ann Carter, from St Barnabus, will present a Jazz Evening in March next year.
