Children enjoyed face painting and arts and crafts activities when In Perspective Arts, Crafts and Models held a successful Open Day event.

The day was to thank customers old and new for their continuing support during the move from Parkhurst Road to the new location at 45 St. Leonards Road.

Bexhill councillor Joy Hughes popped in to support the Open Day.

In Perspective is a well-established shop which is well known and loved by many in the artist communities of Bexhill and Hastings.

Raymond and Joanna Burchartz took over In Perspective at the end of last year from previous owner Mark Axton when they from California with two young daughters.

Running a shop was a new direction for the couple who have a background in business and marketing.

The range of art materials, model kits and craft supplies In Perspective stocks is and well worth exploring.

The shop has already seen some big changes with the move to the new premises and more new and exciting projects are on the way with the addition of drop in arts and crafts sessions, workshops and classes.

The shop held a successful drop-in session this week when people brought in their own projects, ranging from acrylic painting to working with wax and paper craft.

The shop owners provided them with tea and coffee.

Raymond said: “We could not be happier. It has exceeded all our expectations since coming here.

“People in Bexhill have been very responsive and supportive. The shop was a little off the beaten-track where it was in Parkhurst Road so moving has had a very positive effect.

“It was something of an Aladdin’s Cave before and we have had a big reorganisation to make things easier to find.

“We want to bring the artistic community together and enable them to share ideas.”
