Police are increasingly concerned for the safety and welfare of a teenage boy missing from his home in St Leonards.

Fourteen-year-old Reece Pateman was last seen at his home at 1.20pm on Sunday (April 26).

Reece, who is described as 5ft 4in, of medium build, with ginger hair and blue eyes, has a fair complexion and was wearing a blue hoody and possibly grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Missing persons co-ordinator Shannon Marchesani said: “Reece has gone missing before and has a fascination for trains and buses.

“He has previously been found at railway stations in Sussex and as far afield as London and we are making enquiries with bus and rail companies and British Transport Police as part of our search.

“There is no evidence at this stage to suggest that any harm has befallen him, but we are concerned for him because he is autistic and his age.”

Anyone who has seen Reece or knows where he may have gone is asked to contact police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 0636 of 26/04.

UPDATE: Reece has now been found safe and well, thank you to all who shared.
