He was arrested by authorities in southern Cyprus on October 1 on a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) and was flown back to the UK on October 10.

The boy, who is now aged six, has not yet been returned to UK jurisdiction and enquiries continue.

A EAW is also in existence for the arrest of a woman allegedly involved in the same offence.
