Two people have been arrested by police in Preston Road on suspicion of possessing cannabis, a class B controlled drug, with intent to supply.

The pair, a 24-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, were interviewed before being released on police bail until Monday March 6 while enquiries continue.

Police have urged anyone with information about drug dealing to come forward.

Sergeant Ian Miller, of the Rother neighbourhood policing team, said: “Sussex Police is committed to supporting local communities and to disrupting and stopping drugs activity.

“Should you see anything suspicious or out of place in your neighbourhood, please report it at sussex.police.uk/contact-us/response-to-appeal/. “Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-uk.org).”
