Enjoy this night of midsummer music and song

As part of the Bexhill Festival of Music, The Christchurch Singers are busy practising for their ‘Music for a Midsummer’s Eve.’

The event will be held on Saturday June 21 at 7pm at Christchurch Methodist Church, Springfield Road, Bexhill.

The choir gives two concerts a year and is representative of around eight different churches.

The 35 members are again under the guidance of their conductor, Pat Reigh, and the accompanist is Mavis Foskett.

As usual the Master of Ceremonies will be Barry Turnwell complete with his smoothly amusing repartie.

There will be some special treats from guest artists - Gerald Witts will play the organ and link with Andy Gill and Mette Fisher on trumpets.

Roland Friday will entertain on the keyboard and there will also be united singing from the audience.

These concerts usually raise money for charity and this time the beneficiary will be the Sussex Air Ambulance and a representative will give a talk about their vital work.

All are most welcome – there is no booking, entrance is free – just come along and a collection for the charity will be made during the evening.
