People enjoyed festive family fun on the seafront on Saturday to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice.
Colourful costumes and crazy contraptions were on display as people took part in a Santa Dash and the new Santa’s Wacky Sleigh Race.
Participants enjoyed complimentary Christmas punch and a mince pie upon their return to the Stade Open Space and there were prizes for the best sleighs and best dressed runners presented by Hastings Mayor Bruce Dowling, who was on hand to give encouragement.
There was free family entertainment at the finishing line with, music, festive activities and Santa’s Christmas Craft Workshop.
Children were able to choose and wrap presents for their parents, make reindeer food, decorate lots of tasty gingerbread and pose for family photos in a snow scene.
Princess Elsa, from Disney’s Frozen, and Spiderman also put in an appearance, posing for pictures with children.
All money raised on the day went to St Michael’s Hospice to benefit patients receiving palliative care services.
