Bovis Homes says it has reaffirmed its commitment to providing much-needed housing to communities in East Sussex with its latest purchase of land in North-East Bexhill.

The site, which has detailed planning permission for 200 new homes, was brought forward by Bovis Homes in collaboration with Trinity College, Cambridge, and constitutes the first phase of over 1,000 properties that will be built as part of the wider North-East Bexhill mixed-use development.

The 200 homes will range in size from starter properties to larger detached houses, with a focus on two-storey family housing.

Doug Law, divisional land director at Bovis Homes, said: “We’re delighted to be able to reinforce our commitment to this area with another great new location.

“Alongside our current location in Hailsham and proposed developments at Ringmer and Horam, this purchase forms part of a long-term strategy to deliver much-needed new homes across East Sussex, and we’re looking forward to getting started on site.”

Rother District Council has identified North-East Bexhill for a major extension of the town.
