Sinéid Codd presents her first solo exhibition, LUMINOUS, at Dragon Bar, in George Street, Hastings.

THE exhibition features three series of work embracing different forms of print-making.

Sinéid references shifts in time, geological and personal, in hand-made monotype prints. Areas of vivid and intense colour contain forensically detailed images, taken directly from found flora and fauna. In digital prints, the scope of these ideas is extended through using photography.

More brightly LUMINOUS are the light boxes which fill the Dragon Bar with rich, glowing colour. In ‘soundwaves’ the artist uses and reclaims decorative fretwork from a piano she found in her deceased grandparents derelict farmhouse.
