Gang barge into Bexhill man’s flat

A gang of men burst into a man’s Bexhill flat on Saturday (July 11).

The three men forced their way into the Linden Road address at around 11am.

The victim told officers someone was at his door and he buzzed them in.

Three black men then ran up the stairs and barged their way into his flat.

One of them grabbed his TV, the other two had knives in their hands.

The victim fought with the men and suffered a small cut to the left side of his neck.

He continued to chase them down the street but was kicked in the stomach and they ran off towards the town centre.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene but refused to go to hospital.

A 50-year-old man from Bexhill has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been bailed until September 5.

The second suspect is described as around 6ft, in his early 20s, of slim build and was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.

The third man was also wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up, is around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.

Police believe this was a targeted incident with the offenders known to the victim.
