Live music for the League of Friends’ garden party in the grounds of Bexhill Hospital on Saturday, June 13, will be provided by highly-regarded local folk band The Exiles.
The choir of All Saints’ Church of England Primary School in Sidley will also be performing.
The organisers say that once again the emphasis will be on offering something for everyone.
John Dowling, from the League of Friends, said: “That popular feature of recent years, the bouncy castle will be among the attractions to keep young people amused.
“Bexhill 100 Motoring Club members will be bringing along a selection of classic cars and the Maritime Volunteer Service will be displaying their hovercraft.
“Subject to operational requirements, the emergency services will also have vehicles and equipment on display.
“Traditionally, the Garden Party is an opportunity for town organisations including Bexhill Floral Group and Furry Friends together with hospital departments which have benefitted from the League’s support to provide stalls and sideshows. Entry will be, as always, by lucky number programme.
“Teas and cakes will be served in the Health Centre hall during the afternoon and Bexhill Lions Club will be running their popular barbecue.
“Bargain books and bric-a-brac plus the usual bumper raffle add up to an afternoon of entertainment which will start at 1pm.”
The League has been helping the hospital since 1952.
