£400 was raised at Jeannette Austin’s Great Blooming Tea Party, in aid of Marie Curie, in the gardens of Friars Charm, in Maple Walk, Cooden.

Councillor Stuart Earl thanked everyone for supporting the charity before drawing the raffle. There was also a tombola, supported by John Raeburn, of Bexhill Rotary Club. Afternoon teas were served, with music played by a local quartet, and stalls sold a variety of goods. Flower arranging was organised by Lynn Fuller, and Bexhill Furry Friends were also there.
