The new season 2015-16 started on September 15th with a very pleasant après-midi musical, organised by Lydie O’Brien. We listened to some characteristically French popular songs and tried to catch all the words, helped by printed sheets. There were a few surprises for those of us familiar with the music but not the “paroles”. A discussion about the singers followed. Our next meeting, on Tuesday September 29th will be be a social afternoon where members will chat informally in French, probably discussing mainly the Summer holidays.
As usual, it will be at 2 30 in Holy Redeemer church hall in Upper Church Road, St Leonards. After the main presentation we enjoy refreshments and informal chatting. Anyone with an interest in French culture and language (not necessarily completely fluent) is welcome to join us. A casual visitor is expected to contribute £2 towards costs or become a member for £15 yearly.
