Our last meeting, on November 24th, was the Annual General Meeting, which we always conduct in English. We covered necessary business and were happy to welcome some new faces to the committee. To liven up the afternoon after the formalities, the AGM was followed by Jill Robinson’s presentation of “An invitation to tea in India”. She gave us a very interesting account of her time on tea plantations in India and we learnt quite a bit about tea production.
Our next meeting, on December 8th, will be the Christmas party. After entertainments like carols, we will enjoy the festive buffet made up of food brought along by attendees.
Anyone with an interest in French language and culture is welcome to join us at the usual place and time – 2 30 Holy Redeemer church hall in Upper Church Road, St Leonards.
