Helping Hand a resounding success

BEXHILL-BASED insurance broker Hastings Direct is now inviting nominations for support from its A Helping Hand programme.

Launched last year, the community programme backed 35 charities and good causeswith financial, professional and physical support from among its 1,500+ staff.

Each of its employees is able to donate a day - effectively making more than 100 days a month available to help community projects.

Applications are assessed by a committee which then makes the necessary help available, be it a cash grant or help in kind.

Chairman Jay Wootten said: “We’re delighted that our new community programme has been such a resounding success and we are proud of the support we have been able to offer many local charities and good causes. We are hoping to do even more this year.”
