Jongleurs Comedy Club joins us at The White Rock

Jongleurs Comedy Club at The White Rock Theatre, February 27, 8pm.

A WORLD-famous comedy name is coming to Hastings - with Jongleurs Comedy Club looking to set up shop at The White Rock Theatre later this month.

Jongleurs was established in 1983, when Maria Kempinska opened a new comedy club in Lavender Hill, Battersea. The club quickly grew into one of the major venues in the burgeoning comedy club scene around London, showcasing a whole host of comedians who would later go on to become household names.

Many of the greats of the comedy world have performed at Jongleurs over the years, including Jack Dee, Paul Merton, Rory Bremner, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Graham Norton, Jenny clair, Dylan Moran, Al Murray and Omid Djalili.

There are now seventeen Jongleurs clubs across Britain, where Jongleurs showcase the stars of tomorrow today.

In 2003, as part of the Twentieth Anniversary celebrations, Jongleurs launched their On The Road tour to bring their unique comedy experience to regional venues across the UK.

After two massively successful years, Jongleurs is now set to cause a stir at White Rock Theatre when it arrives on Friday February 27 at 8pm - the first in a series of side-splitting shows at the venue.

Appearing in this show will be Dominic Frisby - a veteran of almost ten years on the circuit, and three full-length Edinburgh Shows.

Dominic started out as a character comedian, making his name with a multitude of silly characters including The Upper-Class Rapper, Ludwig The Bavarian and Morris The Morris Dancer. He has performed at every major UK comedy club and all over the world from Shanghai to Sheen, Croatia to Croydon, from Singapore to Swindon.

He is now one of the most in-demand comperes and is resident host at Downstairs At The King's Head, London's oldest comedy venue.

Joining him on stage will be Victor Daniels who started his stand-up career in 1999 and hasn't looked back since, becoming a regular in the circuit's top venues such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Comedy Caf, Up The Creek and the Hackney Empire.

His comedy has seen him perform in New York and reach the finals of some of the UK's best known comedy competitions. He has also featured as a writer on the BBC's Gina Yashere Show and the Angie Le Mars sketch show 'Big Sister'.

And finally the third comedian appearing in the show will be Steve Best who is rapidly building a reputation as a great visual comic, harnessing a mind-boggling array of gadgets and gags to keep his audience in stitches.

To celebrate this new comedy night, the White Rock Theatre has a superb offer. The first 400 tickets sold will be just 1 each. The only catch is this deal is only valid on orders of five or more tickets. So simply, by one ticket and it is full price 12. Buy five and it is just a fiver.

To take advantage of this call the ticket office, quoting Launch Offer, on 01424 462 288 or visit www.whiterocktheatre.org.uk to reserve your seat now.
