An identical figure
IN your newspaper January 20 you published an item declaring that the number of visitors to the Andy Warhol Exhibition had reached 100,000. An identical figure was claimed in an earlier copy of your newspaper to be the number of visitors attending the Anthony Gormley Exhibition.
Where do these figures come from?
The Andy Warhol Exhibition opened on September 24 and up to the date of publishing this item, allowing for a two-week shut down over Christmas and the New Year, had been open for 104 days.
If you divide 100,000 by 104 the answer is 961, which is then the average daily number of visitors required to reach the alleged number of visitors attending the exhibition for each of the 104 days it has been open.
Are these highly suspect claims a sign that the DLWP grant is up for review again ?.
