Horrified by air gun report

ALONG with your other readers, I was horrified and angered to read of the cat targeted by air gun yobs.

How pointless it is for the law to say that the sale of such weapons is only illegal to under 18s. Assuming these morons are under 18, would they suddenly become civilised, responsible human beings if they became of legal age tomorrow? Of course not.

Therefore, such weapons should be banned with access strictly limited to gun clubs. Their sole purpose is to maim or cause damage to property and so they should have no place on the streets of a civilised society.

When is the law going to get a grip?
