Thanks for generosity
ON behalf of the President and Bexhill Rotary Club, I would like to thank everybody who donated to our Christmas collections in December. Your generosity really is appreciated particularly in these trying financial times.
I would like to pay tribute and say a special ‘thank you’ to Michael Turner and his staff at Tesco at Ravenside and Dave Hunt and his staff at Sainsbury’s at Buckhurst Place for all their help in making the collections outside their stores possible and so successful.
With your support, we were able to raise a staggering £4,050 for charitable causes, this was a good deal more than we had expected.
You will no doubt be pleased to know that every penny collected will go to good causes and cheques are on their way to the following charities: Demelza House Children’s Hospice, 1066 Specials disabled sports, Cambria Trust Young Carers Respite, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, local Scouts and Guides, Citizen’s Advice Bureau locally, Parkinson’s UK Charity, Prostate Cancer, St. Jude’s Refuge, Sussex Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance, Home Start, Bexhill Caring Community.
Thank you, once again, for your much-valued contributions without which we would be unable to help those less fortunate around us.
