Lions join Street Pastors for night duty in Bexhill

Two Bexhill Lions donned HiViz Observer Jackets to experience life on night duty with the Bexhill Street Pastors.

The Lions, one of a group of core donors who have financially supported the Bexhill Street Pastors since they started in May 2012, also presented them with another generous donation.

The event gave Lions Richard Winrow and Jim McGlyn the opportunity to meet many Bexhill young people whilst out and about in Bexhill on night duty with the Street Pastors. From car parks, playing field and housing estates they met and engaged with the youngsters in mutual respect and gained an insight into their worries and aspirations. Jim and Richard said they enjoyed the experience and will report back to Bexhill Lions committee how their fund raising is helping charities such as the Bexhill Street Pastors deliver help to the Bexhill Community on Friday and Saturday nights.

Bexhill Lions Club work throughout the year to raise money for many local charities. For more information and on forthcoming events visit: www.bexhill-lions.org.
